Infosys Internship overview

Generally, people from CS (Btech – computer science)  background are invited for Infosys Internship.

Students tend to spend 8th semester of their graduation in Infosys Mysore Campus.

Infosys Internship Duration

The internship starts from January and lasts till May. Infosys Internship takes 5 months to complete.

During these 5 months, various stages of studies and examination take place. After completing final exams in 5th month, interns send to their home to attend college examinations.

Those who successfully clear 5 months of internship and all the exams, get reinvited again to Infosys Mysore Campus or relevant internship/ training location.

Finally, learning and development programme (L&D) gets conducted. This programme lasts for two weeks. After than all one completes Infosys Internship successfully.

1. Syllabus and Technologies tought during Infosys Internship

Below are 3 stages of infosys internship which takes place during first 5 months

Stage 1 (FA1) (Generic) – Python and DB related technologies will be tought in the first stage of infosys internship. After than exams will be conducted.

Stage 2 (FA2) (Stream) – In the second stage, Java, .net, and few more technologies are tought in detail. Duration of the second stage is more than 1.5 months.

Stage 3 – Project Making

Based on the technologies tought during FA1 and FA2, interns will be given one month of time to create a project.

On an average, in hand internship salary at Infosys was 13k. But recently this figures is increased by up to ~20-50%

3. What if, someones fails in Infosys Internship

Those who not able to clear 5 months of Infosys Internship, go to stage 5. Stage 5 is basically a normal infosys training.

Infosys Internship Breakdown

Stage 1  – 5 month internship – Which has 3 stages. FA1, FA2, and project making

Stage  2 – 2 month break – Break for everyone and interns are sent to their homes. Those who clear are called for next stage.

Stage 3 – 14 day – L & D programme – All the passed interns in stage 1 are invited in this stage. (learning and development programme in infosys)

Stage 4 – Deployment

Successful completion of internship and deployed at different office location

Stage 5 – 4-6 months – Re-train interns, who got failed in stage 1

Those who are now able to clear Internship in 5 month duration, falls in this stage. This stage starts when the deployment of all the pass-outs gets completed.

In stage 5, all the failed interns goes through normal infosys training. Once this training gets completed, interns (who ultimately became trainees) gets deployed to various DC’s

Salary get also increased during the re-training period.

Finally, let’s conclude the internship in Infosys. This internship starts at the 8th semester. If interns get passed in the first attempt will be deployed to various office locations. These interns spend 5.5 months in total.

Those who go re-training process, tend to spend more 4-6 months in training. In addition to that, time is taken in deployment. Overall, these people spend their almost 1 year in Infosys Mysore Campus.
